Today English is one of the world’s primary languages of communication. English is, therefore, an essential language to master. Additionally the Indonesian government added English as a foreign language topic to the school curriculum. Due to the diversity of ethnic language in Indonesia. EFL learners are frequently influenced by their native language during the learning process. Bengkulu is the origin of one of Indonesia’s several ethnic languages. It is a province on the island of Sumatra that numerous ethnic languages, including Pekalnese, Serawainese, Rejangnese, Muko-mukonese, Melayu Bengkulunese, etc. This book utilized contrastive analysis to illustrate the similarities and differences in English across the local languages of Bengkulu.
